REQUEST FOR SILENT ART AUCTION DONATION

Dare to Dine: Wine and African Food Sampling Event

A request from Theresa Randles of Grandmothers of Steel for silent art and craft auction donations for their 3rd annual event. All proceeds go to the Grandmother to Grandmother Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

“We want the event to be top-notch. I would like to ask you whether there might be interest in art donations from your end (or possibly from artists at the gallery). We will be able to give artists income tax receipts for the amount their art sells for. And we would encourage artists to advertise their work as well….”

  • There are no criteria about the art donated – any medium and size will be gratefully accepted.
  • The artist can suggest the opening bid amount and can specify if any money goes to them (e.g. for framing costs).
  • The artist will be issued an income tax receipt from the Stephen Lewis Foundation for the money raised by the item.
  • Works can be donated up to 2 days before the date of the event, and I [Theresa] will arrange to pick up of the work ( and return of unsold pieces).
  • We would love to have a brief bio of the artist to mount with the work.

Anyone interested in donating can email Theresa trandles@shaw.ca
or phone 905-765-5487.
